So many ways to give…

Tithes and Offerings

The tithe is a tenth of our income that we give to the work of the Lord. The first mention of the tithe is in Gen 14:18 – 20 where Abraham gave a tithe to Melchizedek the priest. The Law of Moses establishes the giving of the tithe in Lev 27:30-32.  In the New Testament, the Lord Jesus mentions the tithe as something that we should continue along with the other important duties of the law such as justice, mercy and faithfulness (Matt 23:23). The Apostle Paul further mentions that our attitude towards giving should be cheerful and generous (2 Cor 9:6-13).

Through tithes and offerings, the church is able to be God’s hands extended to our community.

God has proven to us time and again, we can’t out give Him!

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”  Luke 6:38

Tithes are pledged by our members each year.  These pledges allow our finance team to develop a budget and ensure that we will exercise good stewardship with the funds entrusted to us.  Most members bring their tithes and offerings when they attend worship, however members can also give online through the donate links on the website, or set up automatic giving using a credit card. Using our donate links allows you to give online using the PayPal secure check out service.  You do not need to have a PayPal account to use this service.

Gifts of Service
Giving of your time and your talents honors God who has blessed you with those talents.  Leading a small group, singing in the choir, crafting with the children, driving someone who needs a ride, assisting in the nursury, or serving in one of our established ministries are just a few examples.  If you want to serve, but don’t know how to get started, just ask any staff member or leader for guidance.

Designated Love Offerings
Sometimes you can just feel God prompting you to give toward a specific need.  You can always mark your check memo, offering envelope, or leave a comment with your online gift to designate it for a specific purpose.
